Let it all fall apart.

Underneath a straw hat and a tousle of red hair, slouches a roegadame adorned in regalia fit for a sower. With an easy presence, Red Clover inspires no imposing impression even though she stands a head or so over the average Hyur. Friendly and approachable is the mask she wears. Whatever lies below the surface is safely hidden behind a placid grin and a leveled head. This is not to discredit the range of emotions of which she is capable. Her manner is just one of attentive simplicity.Simply put, Red Clover prefers a modest life. She is sustained by what gathering herbs and other odd jobs afford her. If she’s not put to a retainer’s task, she’s studying at the Botanist Guild or lost somewhere in the Twelveswood. Despite a quiet affinity for Alchemy, it’s the secrets of the flora she labors over. Surely, one with her stature and peculiar intellect would aspire to more than such humble standards. Perhaps, though, she has all she needs. Red Clover's genuine intentions favor ambiguity, afforded by her affable demeanor and self-possession. Does her demure veil truth, or does it serve as a shield she wields?Her feet and heart are weary after years of fleeing fate wrought by another. She is plagued by the scars and skeletons, guilt and torment. Her sure gaze and quiet confidence would never betray this truth, though. Not at first. Only a fraction of who she used to be remains. But she remains, nonetheless.No more has she much interest in the magic she once wielded. Within her, the aether stagnates, stifled and denied its rightful abundance. Her magic, once a vibrant force, now lies as a rusted tool, summoned only on rare, distant occasions. The echoes of her former self dissolve. And thus, she begins anew, retreating to her roots.She possesses a strong commitment to building a new life and honing her abilities by taking her skills back to their foundation. Fueled by a desire to distance herself from her past, Red Clover strives to make her mask a reality. She is hesitant towards conflict and wielding aether, even if an old passion for magic sleeps dormant, deep within. It’s an easy life she seeks, or so she would have herself believe.

First Things, First

Hi! You can call me Astral. I am your typical married, 30-something with a full time job, active family, and a coven of cats to tend to. I've been RPing for over half my life - started on forums and moved to MMOs. I am green to FFXIV, though, and working through content. My activity can be limited one week, then fully open the next. Discord RP is an avenue I am open to use to help push stories when my in-game availability dips.I love a good, long-winded story arc with dramatics and strife. I also enjoy the slice of life in the calm between storms. I can go from hygge cottagecore scenes to traumatic near-death experiences. Dark and haunting to light and undemanding. I love it all - as long as it makes sense for the story. I especially love horror themes, but I know not all do.Like all the rest, I adhere to a stern separation of IC and OOC. Should our characters find themselves in conflict, trust I, the writer, will always remain your friend.If our OOC personalities are non-compatible, not a problem. We owe each other nothing, but a heads up is a common decency. But know if you ghost, I get it. And then if you come back, Great! I get that too.
